This month flew by!We have decided to sell our house and go RVing full time!Hopefully we’ll be selling the house by May, if all goes well.I know you all are thinking that we put a lot of our lives into it, but on the other hand now we’ll get to enjoy another love that we have, traveling. And with the economy the way it is, we couldn’t do both!So here we go!
Also, David and Joanna informed us they are getting married in May!We wish them the best and are looking forward to seeing them be happy together.
We started January by staying at the TrigoMountains and prospecting for gold. Our friends John and Jane are pictured here as they venture out fully loaded and ready to prospect for the day. It’s a hoot to watch the dogs travel down the trail on the ATV.Then we moved over to Quartzsite for a couple of weeks.Mark and Jan camped with us there for a few days and we checked out some of the vendors. Then we moved back to the Trigos again – it’s so quiet here. The only nightly sounds are the wild burros, hoot owls and bombs going off over at the Marine Base! Mark and Jan visited us here and we toured the Cibola Wildlife Refuge.Lots of geese!
Besides running a metal detector, I’ve been bicycling a bit.The little community of Cibola is 6 miles down the road and boasts this wild-looking signpost. Now that February is here, spring is coming in earnest!Flowers have appeared just in the last week!Saturday no sooner did Ron and I arrive at the claim then it started raining. We drove the ATV 3 ½ miles back in the rain, and it rained the rest of the day!Just before sunset the clouds parted and the rainbow appeared. Then it rained some more! Here’s a picture of our little home by the cactus – home sweet home, now!
I'm going to try again to post to your blog. If this goes through I will post more next time.
