Last night a big storm blew in so the police came to warn us to batten things down, we had 20 minutes! So I rounded up Dusty and Karen, woke up the biker in the tent next to us, took Dusty's bike to the school garage, then took down my tent and put everything in the school. I had enough time to help deliver Karen and Dusty's things in too! All while it was pitch dark and lightning! It's amazing how fast I can work under adrenaline! The storm was not bad for us but tornadoes were not too far away. This morning we took off iinto the morning mists up the hills and back to our cars at the trail's end. A nice tailwind blew us back at the end, 35 miles. I'm glad I did the ride but also glad to sleep in a real bed tonight!
